Love Him In
Got to admit it I love him as Snape - he just fits the character perfectly.
He was cracking in Dogma, can't watch Help I'm a Fish without drifting of into a Rickman fantasy and as for Galaxy Quest well.
Have seen a few of his other works too.

i dont think he is that good of a snape. i find him rather...stiff. one usually thinks that an arrogant person would be self assured and smooth. he seemed a bit stiff in the neck.
i loved him in Dogma. it was my absolute favorite. comedy rules baby!

Tsk, that's heresy juvenile! lol Y'know Tim Roth actually got the call first though, but he turned it down in favor of a monkey suit in Planet of the Apes and we got Rickman instead (phew!). But really I couldn't disagree with you more on Snape, that role is responsible for my being AR-smitten.

Ahhhhh---
Alan was awesome as George, Sheriff of Nottingham in Robin Hood!!! SO sarcastic and when we walked he was so funny!!!
Truely, Madly, Deeply....at the end---well if you haven't seen it---I want to cry!!
And Sense and Sensibility---HE SMILES!!! WHOA----too much for me!!! 
Of course, seen him in HP and Dogma---of course, good, good, all good... 
Just bought An Awfully Big Adventure----Cannot wait to put it in!!!
He has been in plenty of films---most I have seen---the few I have not---will be ordered and in my hot little hand before the year is out!!

Unfortunately I haven't watched all of his movies...
But he was excellent in TRULY MADLY DEEPLY.It was a great movie.
Of course I watched HP,Die Hard,Robin Hood,Michael Collins..........
I found his portrayal of SNAPE magnificient.He rules!!!!!!!!

Oh I so wish I could see all of his movies, I'm still on my hunt to see them all ESPECIALLY dark harbor  But Yes I think he was an incredable Snape, no one could have done better.

I loved him in "Sense & Sensibility" as "Cornal Brandon", It was a bloody brillant performance if you ask me , just terrific if I say so!

Hi All!
I am new to this board - so please bare with me...
Needless to say that I absolutely adore Alan!
I took a while... but I've finally succumbed to him... his charms, his looks, his speech impediment...
Errr... what was I say?
I've seen Alan in "The Perfume: Story of a Murderer", "Sense and Sensibility", "Blowdry", "Dogma" and "HP". Maybe more - but I can't think of the names right now...
I don't know the other guy that was supposed to play "Snape" in HP... but I'm glad he didn't!!!
For me, Alan IS Snape. I couldn't imagine anyone else playing that part...
And to be honest: I would gladly serve detention with Snape any time he wanted me to *purrs*
Anyway. Sorry for the rant...
