Self-Defense

Question of the week?

Is it legally justifiable (by our courts interpretation)to actually cut vital templets (ie 3 of 9) into a would be victim.

Re: Self-Defense

I THINK YOU WOULD WIND UP IN FRONT OF THE JUDGE FOR THAT. AFTER THE FIRST COUPLE OF STRIKES IT WOULD BE CONSIDERED AN EXTREME USE OF FORCE. IN A LIFE OR DEATH SITUATION YOU HAVE TO DO WHATEVER NEEDS TO BE DONE TO STAY ALIVE. BUT THE COURTS WOULD THINK DIFERENTLY.

Re: Self-Defense

The use of force must be commensurate with the danger. A person may not use deadly physical force in self-defense if he knows there's another way out of danger, according to Arkansas law. A person should retreat, except a person is not required to retreat if he is in his home and isn't the initial aggressor.
Arkansas doesn't allow deadly force to be used as a first option.

I would think that you would be justifiable cutting vital areas.

Have notes about individual states and the law concerning knife carry... notice Texas... maybe you'll want to move here too.

Falcon -
From what I gather from your first link...the Martial Arts instructor could be held responsible as well?

"No, officer I have absolutly no idea where I learned how to do that. Must have been on TV or something!"
