Tuesday 8-15
First day back to class after belt night! Always an exciting class - seeing everybody with their new color.
Mr. Weeks led us in a brief warm-up. Then we broke into groups with a two instructors per group. We have lots of new green belts who are learning how to become instructors, and they got to get their first taste of that tonight.
Mr. R Weeks and Bridgett worked with the white belts on doing a down block, as well as how, when, and why to do a kiai.
Mr. Gaines and Kassie worked with the two new students, Keylan and Tyler on first night stuff as well as the 5,5, and 5.
Mr. Montgomery and Tyler worked with blues and oranges on kicking and punch combonations, one steps, and hitting the targets. They really focused on being more aggressive.
Myself and Canyon worked with the purple belts on executing proper forward stances in their forms, proper inverts, and then I helped Eston on Dragon Stick #1.
Everyone learned something new, or how to improve what they already know. A very, very informative class.

Sounds like a great class. Sorry I missed it. I was under the weather, which could drown me at the rate ofthe rain. Katelyn was in Little Rock with the Ralph Joseph group. We should be there on Thursday.

CLASS WAS A LOT OF FUN TUESDAY. ONE OF THE REQUIREMENTS THAT COMES WITH A GREEN BELT IS BEING A JUNIOR INSTRUCTOR. IT IS NOT SOMETHING THAT CAN BE TAKEN LIGHTLY. SHOWING STUDENTS HOW TO PROPERLY PERFORM SOMETHING IS VITAL TO THE LEARNING PROCESS. YOU DO NOT WANT THEM DOING IT WRONG, HURTING THEMSELF, OR HURTING ANOTHER STUDENT. BEING ABLE TO WORK WITH OTHER STUDENTS AND TEACH THEM WHAT HAS BEEN PASSED ON TO ME IS ALWAYS A JOY AND I AM THANKFULL FOR THE CHANCE TO DO IT. KODIAK
