Son following mother's footsteps.....

Yep, he is, my son has decided to do his open Water scuba diver course next month. All booked in, has his manuals and just has to book to have the dive medical done. Looks like I'm going to have another dive partner! Nothing like doing the mother/son bonding thing underwater! We'll get to look at the nudibrances and stingrays together, ahh...bliss.
You might have guessed, but I'm a bit of a sook when it comes to my son. He's 17, stands almost 5ft 11 inches, and looks over me in that :"I'm taller than you mum"!!
And he was soooo tiny when he was born!

Thanks Davidco! Countdown: 12 days to go. He's almost finished studying his manual.

Gidday all.

Good news! My son passed his Open Water Scuba Diver course!!! Yippee!

Now I not only have a dive partner, but an underwater detecting partner. You know what this means fellas? I have to buy another Excal... emoticon He's costing me more as time goes buy! And I haven't got my own yet as I still "borrow" Garry's. Well, it's kind more mine than his as I use it almost allways. He's often too busy taking pics underwater of the fishies.

We had a great weekend. Did several boat dives. I even ran out of air at the surface as I didn't want to get out. emoticon That'll teach me.

Gidday Dave, thought I'd pop in a few photos of one of our dives we did over the weekend. This is a dive spot called Boar Fish Reef, about half way between Portsea and Queenscliff in open ocean. We took a charter boat out and they just dropped a shot line for us. We went down 18 metres, some of these photos were taken.
Enjoy!
