$73.11 cents, silver rings plus re-decimal coins!
Hello all.
Spent a great day beach detecting yesterday. I was going to go scuba detecting, but seeing the seas were a bit rough, opted for beach detecting at low tide. One beach had a fair amount of wash out, and walking along, I could see coins showing up on the surface with each wave action. I knew it was going to be productive, but not as much as it turned out! Every single target I dug or pick up off the wet black sand with the Excalibur was a coin. Then rings started surfacing too, lot of sinkers and other bits and pieces. In all, a very fun day indeed. Pays to beach detect after a good storm!

Well done Angela. I guess you will be going back for another session. Todays club hunt was to an old oval which has been detected heavily over the years and has always produced a fair amount of predecimals. It rained up there nearly all day and the whole place was a big muddy mess. I didnt get there till late in the morning as it was and seeing the conditions didnt fancy getting soaked through. The guys that did detect finished up finding around 80 coins mostly predecimals . seeya Neilo

Sounds like you guys had a great time too, and nice to hear most of the coins were pre-decimals as well. I was surprised I didn't find any gold with all the targets I dug.

Okay. They've been doing some work on some of the other piers too within the past year or so. Should make it safer, but it'll take a bit of time before we see growth on the new pylons under water.

Hi angela write that day down in the book for to have the coins surfacing lie that is one in a million days as when the sinkers are on the top it cant get any lower, and as soon as it gets that low the sand starts coming back real fast any way well done again.terry :champion: :champion: :champion:
