Wanted, belt buckles and buttons
I collect old cricket Belt buckles as found in the goldfields, I will pay a good price for any detected belt buckles with a sporting theme on them.
Also want buttons with Australian names on them, if you look though your found buttons you will see some have Melbourne, Ballarat etc. on them (they come from all over the country) and they are the ones I'm after.
It seems to be around 5 to 10% of buttons are Aussie, most are English.
Even if you don't want to part with your buttons I'd love to hear what names are on them as I'm putting a list together and will research dates and companys of the Australian taylors who used them. Been an ongoing project for a few years, will get it all done one day ;-)
Thanks for any replys/emails
Toby

Re: Wanted, belt buckles and buttons
Hi Toby,
Last week I found one in the Vic. goldfields that says Geelong.
I also found a brass beltbuckle in SA with cricketers on it ( a batsman batting and the wicket keeper behind the stumps ) but I am not sure I want to part with it. What would it be worth ?
