This is a personal picture which appears below a users name in posts. Its optional, but most users like to have one.

Finding Avatar:
It can be any picture in format (.gif/.jpg/.png/.bmp), usually the standard size is 60x60 pixels. In order to use it you must have a valid url (ie It must be accessible on the internet and NOT on your computers harddrive). Be aware of the filesize as it may slowdown the pages.

Hosting Avatar:
Many sites have measures to stop you linking directly to an image. Therefore you may need to find a host yourself for the avatar. The following are some free image hosts where you can register and then upload the avatar so you can use it.
http://www.free-image-hosting.org/
http://www.imagewaiter.com
http://photobucket.com/
http://picrack.com
http://imageshack.us
http://imagetown.net
http://www.walagata.com
http://www.250free.com
http://www.webspace-empire.com
http://www.uploadit.org/

Adding Avatar:
To add/change your avatar goto
Control Panel > Change miscellaneous options > Avatar 60x60 pixels image URL(optional): > Paste the url in the box > Save Settings

Notes:
The avatar will appear the same in ALL of your posts on ALL Runboard forums you have posted on. Where you change your avatar, all the posts will be updated with the new avatar.
You cannot upload a avatar or any image for that matter to Runboard.
