Hi Andrew, Welcome aboard mate
I see you have a SeaHunter MkII for a few years, you just may be able to give me some pointers on what settings i should have mine at.Ive had mine just under a year now. I find it a very sensitive pi machine,
I live in victoria, near frankston & hunt the beaches through summer.I have found a few gold rings so far with it,but hell a alot of rubbish too & iron.

How much disc do you use when in the water & do you keep it in normal mode or discrete trash elim?

I also got a 10 x 14" coil at Xmas & ive reached some very deep targets with this so far .
How much threshold do u use if any?

Sorry about all the questions but its not everyday you here about someone having a mkII

Hey Gang.

My name's Ian, i'm 25 and have just moved to Perth WA from England.

I did a bit of detectoring about 6 years ago in the UK with a C-Scope CS660. I didn't get much luck, the wind, rain and mud got the better of me and kept me away form the fields.

I managed to pull a Musket Ball form the civil war out of the ground along with a ceramic cream container top from the early 1800's after finding a bottle dump. Apart form that it was just old horseshoes and hammers :D Despite that i had a blast with my local club, many of the members had exciting finds the best of which i saw was a old roman broach.

I can't wait to buy myself a new machine and get out hunting again.

I look forward to talking with you all more and seeing all the exciting finds.

Ian.

Welcome to the site TDU. I take my hat off to you, I spent some of our winter at Sandstone but the days were getting too hot for me in September so I retreated home. What detector are you using? We would love to see some of your finds.
Regards, Brian

I found out about this sit through Angela, and I just got on here, so I'm pretty lost. I'll just keep reading stuff and see if I can't learn to get around on the site. I live in San Diego, California, USA. Pretty far away, but thanks to the internet, only a click away. Love the fact that we can share things all over the world with each other with just the click of a mouse. Thanks for the invite, Marc Trainor. By the way I'm a Minelab Quatro user, and hope to find some cool stuff to share. I've never had a better detector in my life.
