Re: Port Phillip Fri 5/8 or Sat 6/8
Poddy/Rod,
I am keen to join your trip if you are going this weekend. I should be able to fit in with whatever you plans as I am quite flexible this weekend.
As per your previous offer I am keen to have a little trial paddle in each of your craft as I am still keen to replace my sitin Dagger Discovery.
Hopefully we will get a favourable weather forecast. I'll keep a watch on this thread to see what your final plans are.

Rod, no worries mate it'll be good to catch up if the wind allows. If it's strongish notherlies do you want to try one of Milt's spots near Williamstown or Point Cook or stick with Ricketts? KOBnCo, you're more than welcome to have a paddle and looking forward to putting a name to a face.

Re: Port Phillip Fri 5/8 or Sat 6/8
I was in Williamstown last weekend actually, and noticed a couple of people out in kayaks.
How is the fishing off Williamstown Milt? I take it that you try just off Gellibrand, or behind the Williamstown Oval?

Re: Port Phillip Fri 5/8 or Sat 6/8
NOOOOOOOOOOOOO I have an engagement party that night!!! I could only do a morning session unfortunatelly or Sunday afternoon.
The fishing has been slow around Williamstown a little early for the reds. All the action seems to be around the western and eastern side of the bay. When I fish the northern side I generally go out after a blow when the water is a little dirty and the snapper come in close. The reefs behing the footy ground at Willi are good for pinkies in season. Another good spot is around station and princess pier again after a blow. Along the channel is great to during change of tide and as the sun is going down or up.

Hi Poddy,
I could get out Saturday morning but the weather isn't looking too good. I might keep my fishing credits and wait for better weather.

No worries Grant, I think at this stage I'll head to the Beaumaris surf club for a look at whats happening around 1pm, and decide from there. All welcome to join. Santa also dropped off billibobs lures yesterday gents, all set for redistribution when we hook up next.

Re: Port Phillip Fri 5/8 or Sat 6/8
Poddy,
I'm in. Don't know if I'll stay the whole afternoon, but I'm keen to test paddle your Swing.
I've got a sitin (Dagger Discovery) similar colour as your Swing (yellow/red). Vehicle is a blue Astra.
I can be at the surf club Sat. 1pm, however if you decide to change time/location just post it and I can easily fit in.
Look forward to catching up.
