Port Phillip Bay 30/7 - 31/7

Guys,

there is only so much time I can waste messing around with my yak & fishing gear without actually putting it to good use.

If you trust Seabreeze things are looking OK for Sunday. Who is keen for a paddle if the weather is fine.

Milt, do you have any recent fishing reports ?

Regards
Grant

I'm feeling the same way Grant.
Are you thinking morning or afternoon?
I reckon we should try Milt's "Red Bluff" spot.
What do you think Milt?

Sorry gents please put the red pen through my name and mark it "team commitment questionable, may need a spell in the seconds team to get his head right". I'm out of town this Sat, and working Sun. emoticon

The BOM claims 20-25 knots North/Westerly on Sunday. Saturday 10-15 knots Northerly in the afternoon may be a better option for Point Cook maybe??? I'm awaiting some up to date reports on both areas.

Hey Milt, I just saw that too.
Sat tides are:
9:47 AM EST 0.74 meters High Tide
3:10 PM EST 0.41 meters Low Tide
From reports I've had, the fish have been on the chew around the change in tide.

Hey Rod,

Point Cook etc has been a bit quiet, from what I have heard there are pinkies being caught around Beaumaris and black rock I'm just waiting for the detail to be emailed with regards to times, tides etc.

I can be probably meet you guys say around 2PM and fish till dusk on Saturday if this suits you all?

Works for me Milt.
I reckon we should try your secret spot.
Put in at Half Moon Bay which, is a great launching spot, and paddle over.
What do you reckon about putting a berley trail down? Especially if the water trafic is light.

It looks as though my leave pass is valid for Saturday as well.

If we are fishing into dusk it will give me a chance to try out my lights as well emoticon
