Re: Changing the forum ?
Hi Guys,
A bit of an update...
I have the pic upload feature working to my liking & I have asked a few members to login & do some testing for me. So far, most comments are positive (I think !) and any negative ones I think I have over come.
A bit more testing & if all the test pilots give me the thumbs-up I'll sign-on with a suitable host, registed a new domain & we can swap over.

Re: Changing the forum ?
Hi Everyone,
Time for another update !
I invited a few guys to head over to the test forum, play around & let me have their comments so now it's working pretty well.
I have sorted-out a suitable host & registered a new domain name of www.akff.net
The new address is active and I have placed an image showing what the front page will look like so everyone can take a look if interested.
It'll take me until about this time next week to install the forum over on the new host & get it configured ready for use so just keep using this forum until then.
You'll know when to change-over as I will post a 'forum closed' message on this forum & lock all the topics from any more posts. All you'll need to do then is go over to the new forum, register & get posting.
This forum will be kept alive as an archive & there will be a link to it on the new forum so all the great discussions that are here will be around as long as this forum's host will allow.

Re: Changing the forum ?
Goodone Phil, I will be happy to support the new forum. I think one of the major advantages is that it will be easier to find. When i first started reseaching fishing kayaks I ran heaps of google searches and this forum never came up. I only found it by following links from another site. So I think you can expect a lot more hits. Anyway congrats on an excellent forum, I can only see it going from strength to strength.

Re: Changing the forum ?
The half kayak/half fish part was one of Rod L's creations which I simply overlaid over the map of Oz so most of the credit should go to Rod.

Re: Changing the forum ?
If the front page is only an appetiser, i am amongst the followers who agree that it is big step forward and can only grow. I will be lining up with yak in one hand and rod in the other to get onboard.
Cheers
