Swing colour?
Hi all,
After much research I have decided to to order a Perception Swing... but I have one last silly question about the colour. I have not been about to see any Swings in the flesh as none of the dealers here in Melbourne actually keep them in stock! So I have to order one in but which colour? I am just wondering what type of Red it comes in. Is it a flat red or shiny red? Is it a nice red? Does anyone have a picture?
Thanks,
Oost

Thanks Dan
I have seen that site but the real life colours are often so different to what you see on manufacturers websites

Re: Swing colour?
G'day Oost,
I don't own a swing but they often follow me around when I go fishing so I take photos of them.
The Orange, Red and Yellow variant is very distinctive:
And the commonly seen red model looks good on the water:
While the very rare Blue and orange variety is quite stunning:
If you are ever in Noosa when the Mackerel are running I've heard that several other styles can be spotted in front of the Surf Club.
Regards,
Ross

Re: Swing colour?
Hi Oost,
Perception change the colours they offer their kayaks in year by year, so some colours you see shown here or may see elsewhere are not available.
Go to my website, find the page for the HoK Swing in the 'Fishing Kayaks' section (or the page on the Swing in the 'Fun Kayaks' section) & click on the 'click here to see the colours' link next to the pic.
Another window will open showing a copy of the colour chart for 2005/2006. Swing colours this season are Yellow, Tangerine/Yellow, Fluoro Lime/Yellow & Arctic Blue/White.
In real life the tangerine is a bright orange & the yellow in the tangerine & fluoro lime fade into is more like the plain yellow shown in the bottom RH corner.
I have a pic of a customers tangerine/yellow as well as a plain yellow Swing I'll post tonight when I get home.

Re: Swing colour?
Thank you all for the response to my question. Well I finally ordered my Swing and had decided on the Red until I found out from Perception that they don't come in Red now... I hadn't yet got your message Phil. Anyway I have decided on the Lime/Yellow and have upgraded the paddle to a NW Passage. Just wish HoK had its store in Melbourne...
Thanks again

Re: Swing colour?
Hi Oost,
where did you pickup your swing from. I'm thinking about upgrading so I can chase the snapper in PPB this summer.

Re: Swing colour?
Yes, me too but HoK can ship Perception kayaks almost anywhere in Australia, and Malibu kayaks to all capital cities & some larger regional areas.
