Photo problems
Phil
Sorry to bother you. I have got my photos in Imagevenue but when I cut and paste or copy, I only get the very lengthy URL and no photo. How Do I get the photo in this area I am typing in?

Just copy the URL address and use "Insert Image" feature

Have done and when I clicked "See preview" it worked great. But I still can't see the photo on the post I sent!!
I thought I was quite efficient with computers.....

Hi Simon,
Hey mate, it's no bother at all. 
If using imagevenue or similar & it gives you a link that has a [img] tag (or something very much like it) at the front of it, just copy and paste that whole link straight into your post. Dont use the 'insert image' button.
The 'insert image' button up the top of the page you write your post on is only used when you just have a plain address (ie http://www.simonswebsite.com.au/picture.jpg) for the pic. All the 'insert image' button does is automatically add the image tags at the start & end of the address so the board will see there's meant to be an image shown there & go retrieve it from the address you have provided.

Thanks for that. I did what you suggested on the test site of the forum and got an underlined link but no photo. How do I get my photo in the space where I am currently typing in?
I am sure I was successful once, but now I can't seem to do it.

Hi Simon,
Try this...
When you upload your pic to ImageVenue it'll give you the choice of several links depending on what you want to do.
Copy either one of these 'hotlink a clickable thumbnail..' links
and just paste the link directly into your post. Don't use the 'insert image' button.
Either of these 2 links should put a clickable thumbnail pic into your post that when clicked on will open a full-size version in another browser window.
