I dont think I have a "holy grail" for toys. The things I have wanted I always seem to get, it may take time, but I eventually end up with them. My personal grail would be a Batman #1, thats realistic, because I know Ill never own a 'tec 27.

I haven't checked in awhile. What does a really nice copy of Batman #1 go for these days? I would really LOVE to have that issue too, it's an icon!

I have seen a good 2.0 conditoned Batman #1 at one of the comic shows for $4500. Over the last 10 years Ive had the privilege of seeing 4 number ones. All out of my price range of course, but all of them were under 10 grand.

Up until about a month ago, it was this:

I had been looking for one of these for over two years with no luck, I snagged one through a close connection, it cost me but it was worth it.

Now? I have no idea, probably the non magnetic 12" Batman in the purple box. I hope one doesn't arise anytime soon because I can't afford it.

congrats Brian, great pick up. I had no idea that the magnetic batman was made with that box. Very cool--love the "wayne foundation" box art on the back.

I really would love Detective Comics #27. This is a complete fantasy. Other than that, I really want 1960s tin toys. The mask premium from the 1940s is also something that would be incredible to get my hands on.

I agree with Jon about that 1940's mask. I have tons of bat-stuff from the 60's on up but nothin' from the 1950's ( toy-wise) & the only 40's piece I have is an original sunday newspaper with the Batman Comic Strip. I think it's from 1942 or 1944. It's a full-page strip that is kinda big & I framed it. It's actually one of my favorite items....I'll have to take a pic of it to share someday.

I too would love a mint first issue corgi, complete with the box, stand, instructions and missiles.

I would also love the first Dark Night returns statue and the one where bats is on top of the clock.
