Recent Batman Novels

I've just bought a couple of recent Batman novels, well actually my wife bought me them for Christmas so I can't read them until then, but I was wondering if anyone else at Batblog had read these and if so what they thought about them.

I'm not particularly wanting spoilers just opinions on them whether you think they're any good. The reviews on Amazon seem positive but I assumed proper bat fans here would know better than the average reviewer. I'm impressed by the fact Fear Itself is written by one of the writers of Batman The Animated Series, that will probably be the one I read first.

The Doctor: People assume that time is a strict progression of cause to effect... but actually, from a non-linear, non-subjective viewpoint, it's more like a big ball of wibbly-wobbly.... timey-wimey.... stuff.
