Swatch card

This is a card that I won on eBay. The seller was ticked because I won it for $13 and he says that it's a $100 card. It's in a screw-down case and I scanned it in the case. The scratches are on the case.

Good find. I love an ebay bargain.

What would the auction value of that be?

I have no idea. I'm one of those who buys things because I want them, not necessarily for what value they might become later. It is interesting to know, though! I'm curious, too!!

That's a good policy. As a vintage toy dealer I always told new collectors, "Hey, buy what you really love because someday it might be worthless". Like, you better enjoy those Beanie Babies you paid $200 each for, ha ha! But, I think Batman is so popular & will continue to be so that his stuff will always hold good value. Personally, I don't care about "prices", not really. I just collect Batman for the love of it. I try to get everything at a pretty good price so if it does loose value I'll still be able to get my money back. I seriously doubt if I will ever sell anything from my collection though. if a family member needed an operation of course that would be different...otherwise, bury it WITH ME like King Tut, ha ha!

Re: Swatch card

I'm at an impasse because I dont want to sell anything and right now all our spare money is going on medical books as my wife has gone back to university.
I will have to trade or at least buy large lots and sell a few pieces to get the item I want.

My favourite search on ebay is to just type 'joker' and see what comes up. As a result I have a small collection of joker playing cards that are also quite valuable (some are worth between £5 and £50GBP each) that I can trade on. The original idea was to have one genuine card with each Joker figure on display but I have also been trading the cards as sideline hobby.

Anyone else have a side hobby?

I have a few side hobbies.

I guess I did get a pretty good deal because there is another one of these cards ending in 8 hours that has one bid on it so far but it's currently at $45!!!

There are some buy it now single swatch cards not as old or as displayable as yours,

Adam west $49.99
Burt Ward $0.99

I would say the seller's $100 valuation is about right and it could fetch silly money at a movie memorabilia auction.
You had a good deal there.
