a friend of mine picked up 4 of them at Wal Mart. He sold all but one on ebay! 
Ill get one eventually.

Just curious....Has ANYBODY here found one of these cars yet? I've looked around a few times with no luck.
Last night I was looking at Toys-R-Us & didn't find it. I then saw a sales clerk stocking a shelf & asked him if they have received any & he laughed, ha ha ha! He said for the last month he gets asked that question about 20 or 30 times a day. He's the main stock guy & he said he, or any employee, has NEVER even seen one.....whatzup?
When I heard Mattel was totally taking over Batman Toys I was kinda disappointed because they are notorious for manipulating the collectors. This recent "1966 Batmobile" is the perfect example. Plus, they re-package older toys again to fool people into thinking there is a "new product"....lame!

Not much of a "friend" if the jerk didn't hook you up! It kinda pisses me off that Mattel would cater to the swindlers instead of make them easily accessible. It looked kinda crappy anyway. I'd buy it to have it but I wasn't impressed with the pix.

Take a look at this, the seller has been making these displays and selling 'detailed' Corgi Batmobiles for a while and is now doing the same sweet job on the Hotwheels 66.

Oh Yeah, The guy who makes these is named UKSTEVE & he has a website where he sells them. He also makes other backgrounds that are pretty cool. I've known about this guy for awhile & I'm gonna be doing a post on them at the BAT-BLOG later...keep an eye out.

I finally got a Hot Wheels 1966 Batmobile!! I got it in the mail yesterday & it's beautiful, better than I imagined!
The great thing about it, that makes it extra special, is that it was a gift from a freind. I didn't even know he was sending it to me. There was a weird parcel in my mail box & when I opened it...POW! It took me a little while to figure out how it got to me but then I did & was shocked!
I'm very grateful for receiving it the way I did but am still upset with Greedy Mattel for making these soooo hard to find....a nightmare really. The rumor is that one day soon they will common. I hope so. It would be really stupid for Mattel to make these very limited because EVERYBODY wants one. In fact, I'd like to have another one just to open. I hope everybody else finds one too.
