1966 TV BATMAN PUBLICITY PICTURES!!
I know that BB was looking to get some images posted to liven things up and I am glad to get involved. I enjoy Batman in all his incarnations and all eras but I guess if I were pushed I would say the 1960s is my favourite period for the character and the comic books and TV show of the period are my biggest focal points for the character. This is when I really first fell into the whole Batman thing so I suppose it made the biggest impression on me as a small kid. I have a pretty big collection of stills from the TV show but these are a little different. They are genuine publicity pics which kids got when they wrote to the TV station or studio asking for signed photos. Some were also produced for cinemas when the movie was on release too or the Batmobile was on tour. Anyhow hope you enjoy checking out some old school Batman publicity stuff. A pleasure to share.

I read somewhere that Barris bought the Futura for a dollar.

It's true. George purchased the Futura from Ford for the amount of $1.00 exactly. In fact, I've seen a photo-copy of the check. It's hilarious to think about that.
