If I understand the problem corectly it's like this:
For years the daughter of the producer ( who controls the estate that owns the rights to the show ) & Warner Bros have been having all kinds of lawsuits going back & forth but the rumor is they have "kissed & made-up" so we can expect some DVDs in the future.
In a recent interview Adam West sort of hinted at this & we're all waiting now.

Dude, I will pay whatever I have to pay when the "official" release comes out! In the meantime, does anybody here know where I can get a good "until then" set of the series on DVD? Those who are Batman fans who aren't into the series were definitely not around during that time!

Maybe the fact that the batmobile has finally be licensed is an indicator of some kind of truce? Man, that would be great if the dvds are on the way as well!

Yeah, I've seen those ads, too, but I'm looking for someone's recommendation from someone who actually bought a set. I appreciate it, though.
