I can live with the look--I'm not sold either way on it yet, I'll wait until the movie. He does look pretty freaky though.

I sat through a couple of movies that had Heath Ledger in them to check out if he couuld make this a memorable Joker.
IMO: No chance, I wouldnt even have given him a non-speaking walk on role.

I agree, if past roles are any indication, I wouldn't think he could pull it off either. We'll see I guess. If they screw the character up, Nolan will lose my support very quickly.

I've put out this arguement before, so those of you who have read it already, I'm sorry for the repetitiveness.
Hold out your judgment on Ledger until the film hits. And give Nolan a little more credit and faith. He's the same Nolan who turned Mrs. Doubtfire into a creepy murderer in INSOMNIAC, Jean-Baptiste Emanuel Zorg into Jim Gordon, Wolverine into a fueding Magician, the Zombie Killer from 28 Days Later into Dr. Crane, Qui-Gon Jinn into Ra's Al Ghul... I could go on and on.
Trust him. He knows what he's doing.
