YVONNE CRAIG TV BATGIRL...ALMOST FINISHED!!
Thanks for all the kind words you guys have made about these little figures I do. There are many guys out there better than me but I enjoy putting them together and painting stuff so I get alot out of it. Here is my almost complete TV Batgirl. I just need my pal to print out the chest and belt logo and she is done. From the top we have a head from a guy called Dave Mac. The ears were too small so I sanded them down and made newer ones closer to the size Yvonne had. The hair is a bit 'wild' but I have never worked with Barbie style hair before and I need to get to grips with it but the colour is OK I guess. The outfit was made for me by a pal using fabric pretty close looking to the stuff used on the real costume I reckon. I made from scratch the belt and painted the gloves, boots and head to match the fabric of the cape which I made myself. It is double sided with a purple outer side. The gloves and boots were from Dr Mego and I added the fins to the cuffs and trimmed the boots to look more like Yvonne's than the standard Mego Batgirl boots did. Anyhow thought you fellas may like to check this out and like I have said before just shout if you fancy taking a shot yourself and need any tips or hints.

She looks great!! The details are perfect...you should make these for sale. I just saw a Barbie "Yvonne Craig" Custom sell on eBay for $150.00. People like buying nice figures like this.

Thanks fella! I appreciate the comments. That Barbie Batgirl was way better than mine. A terrific job and totally like a kinda commemorative TV Batgirl from Mattel like the others they did a few years back. Mine is perhaps a little more Mego style which is what I want but that one you mentioned was maybe the best I have ever seen. The costuming was faultless.

I think they are pretty close....plus people LOVE Custom Megos. You should try to sell yours ( no offense ).

Thansk again! I really do think the Barbie style doll is the tops. Worth every penny for whoever bought it. The cape alone is just gorgeous. I beleive the seller makes full size outfits so is no slouch in the creative department. Thanks again though for your thoughts. Selling stuff is too much like work I guess. I enjoy doing them as a hobby and nothing more. I appreciate your compliment though.
