NEW BATMAN CUSTOM FIGURES

I haven't been around for a while but thought some of you may like to see the latest batch of figures I have completed over the last few months. If anyone is interested in the 'ins and outs' of certain figures just ask and I'll answer any questions.

Image
Here is a Sideshow style Bruce Wayne. Basically just a head paint.

Image
The companion costumed Batman figure.

Image
A 10 Inch 1940s serial style Btman inspired by the Lewis Wilson version.

Image
A 12 Inch **** Grayson. Again just a head paint with store bought clothes that kinda work for the character.

Image
An 8 Inch Mego style TV Green Hornet.

Image
An 8 Inch classic Mego style figure looking a little closer to how one maybe could have been done in the 1970s and like the 'New Look' Infantino brought in in 1964.

Hey Martin, we have missed ya around here.

Oh man, these are all fantastic! The one of the 1940's is beautiful & I also like the Carmine Infantino version...sweet!

Actually they're all pretty darn great!

Yeah, please tell us a little more about them.

Re: NEW BATMAN CUSTOM FIGURES

Thanks for the kind words as ever. From the top we have the 12 Inch Bruce Wayne. All I did was paint a head I got on ebay and made the little silk scarf. I added this all to a Sideshow body and dressed it in a slightly altered Donald Trump doll outfit. The companion Batman figure was a head I won on ebay and painted. The buckle and grey jumpsuit came in the same ebay lot. I bought the gloves and boots from a Captain Action spares fella but I sewed the cape and trunks as well as making the belt too. The serial Batman is a clay mask I sculpted onto a resin bald head and then painted. The outfit was all made by me as was the belt but the basic grey jumpsuit is from Dr Mego. The 12 Inch Burt Ward was again just a head paint by me. The outfit is all basic 12 Inch doll clothes which kinda work for him. The Green Hornet has a fully custom made outfit and the hat is a recast of one from the Medicom doll. The head is from a Mego spares guy which I painted. The Infantino Batman is again a paint buy me from a Mego spares dealer. The outfit is real deal Mego as I wanted it to look as close to a proper toy as poss but I made the cape and cut down and painted the boots. The gloves are from Wes McCue the Captain Action guy. Thanks again for looking.

Re: NEW BATMAN CUSTOM FIGURES

Thanks again for the kind words fellas. In general for the larger figures with the more realisitic looking heads I use Medicom, Dragon or Sideshow bodies. These are 12 Inches tall and are usually very flexible and poseable. For the 8 Inch Mego-style figures I use genuine old Mego bodies but have used the currently available 'Dr Mego' replica bodies which are also very good. The old style 'Serial' Batman was a 10 inch original Mego body like they used for the Tom Baker DR WHO doll or the FLASH GORDON series. I was originally planning on making that figure 8 Inch like the most of my figures but once I has sculpted the mask onto the head the scale seemed to increase and the larger body balanced it out as on the smaller body the head looked too large. Anyway thanks again and never hesitate to ask about this stuff. If I can help out or lend a hand or give a bit of guidance I am pleased too.
