Charlie smiled as he looked at the small box in his hand. I have loved here since the first time she walked into my class. But there was that rule, the one about teachers dating their students.
(Flash Back)
Alan: are you going to introduce me to your girlfriend?
Charlie: You've meet her before. She is not my girlfriend. Iam her thesis advisor.
Alan: So does that mean she can't be your girlfriend?
Charlie: It's against the rules.
Alan: Screw the rules. What's more important learning or love?
(Present Day)
"Happy Birthday buddy" Don said, as the stood at the door to Charlies room.
Charlie was still thinking of Amita and did not hear Don talking to him
"Happy Birthday" Don said again, as he walked in to Charlies room and sat down next to him. Charlie didn't even hear Don come in and jumped when Don sat down next to him.
Sorry Don, I did not hear you come in. I must of been in my own little world again.
Don started laughing, "Just remember buddy you said that not me"
Charlie looked up at Don and smile.
"So what is in your hand" Don ask
"Wouldn't you like to know",Charlie said smiling at his brother.
Don sat there thinking about the night not so long ago, when he was trying to get Charlie to tell him what he helped the N.S.A with. "Yes I would" Don said, but your not going to tell me are you?
OK, if you really want to know I will tell you, but know now. You have to wait till tonight.
Charlie look at his watch. "Sorry Don I got to go. See you tonight.
