Why do so many ex-Catholics become anti-Catholics?
I realize this doesn't hold true for all of them but it does some. I made the mistake of contacting a site totally misrepresenting Catholicism, I won't make that mistake in the future. Turns out the webmaster was an ex-Catholic turned anti. Yeah I'm still getting over my guilt for being dumb and falling for the anti-dribble. Have to forgive myself, I know I'm where I should be now. Too much clicked in. Still have an overwhelming urge/want/desire to disappear from the internet.

Re: Why do so many ex-Catholics become anti-Catholics?
I know I was there, I was sooooo there, so convinced. All the anti-Catholic stuff that seemed so true really wasn't. I did stop learning about Catholicism after Confirmation, I went for the new age/occult stuff instead. I guess back then it was more intriguing for me, I wanted to learn what my own abilities were which obviously weren't my abilities at all.
I know there's still a ton of anti-Catholic stuff out here that I put on the net and I've been honest about it. Each time I've told that to Catholics every single one has said 'welcome home'. I mean, I had ripped Catholicism apart brutally and wrongfully yet in spite of it I'm still welcomed back. That says a lot to me.
