What is the antidoron? The antidoron is bread that comes from the same loaf (prosphora) that the consecrated bread comes from, but has not been consecrated/offered in the Divine Liturgy. It was originally intended to be received by those that did not receive Holy Communion; it seems today that everyone receives it without regard to whether they've received Communion or not. The faithful line up to receive it at the very end of the liturgy-the custom is to take the bread, kiss the cross that the priest holds and then kiss his hand.
