So here comes McCain who they think can grab the moderate and independent vote.
Know what i think;he's going to lose some of the conservative vote.Obama can get those independents too if that's the nominee. He better pray to God it's Hillary.Obama will clean his clock.
They have. McCain grabs a lot of independents and moderates. I am very much a moderate and centrist in many ways, so I am proof of that. Obama is a hardliner, despite the rhetoric to the contrary. Hillary is more moderate and has attracted the more moderate wing of the Democratic party that Obama fails to get.
You seem certain McCain will lose, but I haven't seen any evidence of that. Obama is starting to look like he has peaked and moderate voters are starting to have second thoughts about him. I have never been impressed with the facade of being able to reach out. I am not huge on Hillary, but she has a better track record of working with Republicans. Obama doesn't.

Hasah,
Despite being a registered Democrat and lamenting it, you could have used that chance to vote anyhow. I know I would have if I were stuck in that situation.

Re: McCain won/Huckabee conceded From NY State info you can only vote in the primary of the party you're registered in. I wouldn't have voted for Hillary or Obama and being I'm still listed dem I would not have been able to vote rep, NY State also doesn't allow someone listed as ind to vote in primaries either so I believe switching to rep completely is the best answer if I really want to be a part of primaries & all that next time.

Re: McCain won/Huckabee conceded i'm voting for Mike in our primary. And so is my husband if he wants to live a peaceful life for the next 10 yrs.
Anyway, our primary is not till Apr.
How bout that. So i'll be spreading the word and writing him in if i have to.
Also pushing McCain to pick him as VP.Course that could be the kiss of death if McCain flops.
We shall see.
God Bless,
p4p
That is what I was refering to. You had the choice to still vote in the Democratic primary. I would taken it and voted anyhow. The choices in NY Dem Primary were:
1) Hillary Clinton
2) Barack Obama
3) Bill Richardson
4) Joe Biden
5) Dennis Kucinich
6) John Edwards
Or you could have left it void on the Presidental slot. Personally, if you don't like Clinton or Obama, you could have sent a message and voted for one of the lesser candidates. I probably would have taken Joe Biden or maybe Bill Richardson in your case. They are more sensible than the standard base of the Democratic Party. But thats my opinion.

Re: McCain won/Huckabee conceded Yeah, I understand what you mean. I shouldn't need to worry by the next time. :) Just need to print out the forms, drop them off downtown (or mail them) and all set.
