That is exactly the distinction I was trying to draw for her with my "Metaphore" post on the other thread. Myself and others were confined by Ray to the point of being a pawn. Ray should be ashamed that he has so little understanding of respect and human dignity. Unfortunately, fairness only cut one way with him. It wasn't funny; It wasn't cute. It is mean spirited and reveals a distorted sense of personal honor. To build yourself or your views up at the expense of falsely tearing down someone else is truly pathetic.

Gram, I have started several messages, several PM's, and deleted them all. Until now.
First, and foremost, whether you want to admit it, acknowledge it or otherwise state that it happened, what Ray did to Chit, Kat and in some ways to me, was totally uncalled for. He took something small and blew it so out of proportion it was ridiculous - all to satisfy his ego and to show everyone who was boss. And not once did you defend any of us - Chit and Kat more so than me because most of my battle was private (for lack of a better word) through PM.
Secondly, what you quote about IA's post has nothing to do with you personally but his impressions of people he met which he is entitled to. It is not a reflection on others on Ray's board. You are the one making it otherwise.
If Chit is Pi$$ed off and wants to blow off steam, let her. This is her board now and neither you, me nor anyone else has the right to tell her she can't ***** about the crappy treatment she received from Ray because she wasn't one of his "chosen" few. And if they are lurking here, why? To read and eventually become part of the family or to report back? What's your bet?
If you want to post here, fine. If not, fine. Just know your boundaries and don't push them.

Well said Jimmie. Lee isn't trashing everyone over there, I still post there LOL. But there are times that I have seen the harassment of posters when they don't agree. Lee got so upset that he quit posting anywhere for 1 1/2 years. Ray asked me why he didn't come back and I told him why. Ray said that Lee shouldn't take it so seriously, but he does, he likes having discussions and takes it very seriously, doing research, sometimes for an hour before he posts on some things. And then to be dismissed, that's not fun. As always it is a loud minority. I still post because I generally stay away from overly controversial subjects (for the most part, I slip sometimes) because I don't feel like being belittled. I don't wish anyone ill will.

Chit, I don't know what has happened to you. You used to be a fun, compassionate, light-hearted poster. Maybe it's your health problems, or your weight surgery, or too much of the kids you teach. Whatever it is, you have changed drastically. I had always thought of you as my friend, but friends do not treat friends in such a mean-spirited way. So, after thinking things through for a couple of days, yes, I'm leaving. The sabatical for two days did some good, and let me see who treats me like a friend, and who doesn't.
To the rest of you, I'll see you on the other boards we all post on.

I had always thought of you as my friend, but friends do not treat friends in such a mean-spirited way.
Neither do friends put personal info out on a board about another poster. Seems like a funny definition of friendship to me.
