Re: Almost
I'vebeen gone because I temporarily lost my link to this page. In the meantime, my daughter in Vermont has moved home with her two young sons, a decent car, their clothes, and not much else.
I still don't have a job,but the bills are paid up to date, and I have ALL my kids and grandkids in Texas for my Christmas! And then....
Got more Christmas! My daughter and I each got a Christmas card from my Brother in Massachussets. We opened them, and out of each floated a check for $200! Aren't families wonderful?!? And I had already bought really decent gifts for all my grandkids for practically no money! For the girls, lovely silk evening bags with shoulder straps for (drum role) ONE DOLLAR each! Real cork dart boards with real metal darts for the boys, again, for ONE DOLLAR each! This stuff is really nice, and I found it at a new "dollar botique". They stock unclaimed freight, overstocks, etc. Stuff that would normally cost $10 - $15 apiece. LOTS of stockingstuffers for the little ones, beautiful drinking glasses for Alli (the granddaughter that just got married, and doesn't have any), Lovely silk scarves for the daughters, and really neat tool kits for the sons.
I always said God was always watching over me, and this is proof. When else would I stumble across a store with lovely gifts for so little money? All in all, had I bought these same gifts at a discount store, I would have spent around $100 - $150. I spent all of THIRTY dollars! Life is good. Have a Merry Christmas, all of you.
