They bring out my maternal feelings, but prompt me to ask, DID YOU POKE OUT THEIR EYEBALLS?

Barn Owls, like Pigeons, space their egg laying so that one will hatch, several days later another will hatch. This is so the older kids can sit on the youngun's and keep them warm. Ain't Ol' Mammy Nature smart? BTW all owls survived and were released. They were found inside the fireplace of a house a friend moved into. We were cleared to raise them by a local Vet. emoticon Marv

Yeah, you know... a lot like Granny's house with a feather bed, steady rain and tin roof and a fireplace. COZY. Of course, if you are not an owl or pigeon, your brother sitting on you could lose it's charm. Nonetheless, it looks like a very practical solution to an age-old problem. Family, dat's where it's at. emoticon Marv
