This is in response to both of you.

First to Johndays:

I notice that several of you (i.e. including Sorenz & Heavy) seemed very disappointed about the lower resolution.

But (and this is speculative) there's an expression "careful, or you may get what you wished for".

I.E. how do you know whether the higher resolution might not emit stronger harmful EMFs from the projector, simply because more pixels of light are emitting? I'm not sure if this is true, rather it's a possibility. In which case, you'd just might need to ensure the projector is far from your body.

Now in response to HeavyUser:

QUOTING YOUR LINK:

quote:

Structure of the nano-Spindt FED. With over 10,000 nano-Spindt emitters per pixel emitting electrons to a fluorescent substance to produce images, the principle is very close to a cathode-ray tube type display. It has many high image quality performance characteristics, with a wider view angle, superior ability to produce black color, rich tone expression, motion pictures with no blurring of the outline, etc.

OUCH!
I strongly doubt the FED would be healthy for us, because of this:

During the period I'd been researching data due to my horrible Samsung experience, I came across a post where a guy noted that when he'd first bought his CRT, he found it hard to tolerate, but after years of usage, he noted that it became more tolerable. He seemed technically knowledgeable, and stated that the phosphors of pixels fade steadily throughout years of use. He said that's probly why his CRT became more tolerable.

That's also probly why I've found monitors (both CRT & LCD) at various local libraries & college to be tolerable for me. What they had in common was that they were older with much more usage by patrons & students. Then recently they acquired new ones and poof! my body started screaming again!

I had similar negative experiences with other new LCDs & CRTs (see the Updates section of my site)

I'm willing to try anything if the price is reasonable. I envy people who can use flat screen panels =)

I've already tried too much stuff as you can see from my Updates area. I've reached my limits - except maybe if they ever market the LG electronics HS102 projector in U.S.

P.S. I just posted this:
