First of all Heavy, thanks, that was very enlightening. 
As for the EMF factor, Cryosin:
Could be that, AND/OR..
Could be it's the same idea as when you're inside a moving car, and you're advised to view things from a distance, rather than, say, reading inside the moving car.
Because humans are created that way naturally (our primitive ancestors mainly viewed things from far, rather than up close).
So that could be a factor as well.
It's just a good idea to consider both possibilities.
Note that Dr. Robert Yolton, optometrist, had mentioned that viewing smaller screens causes less dizziness than larger screens (I seem to recall something about peripheral vision not needing to kick in.) However, as mentioned on my site, I disproved that by trying that Scanport (see the Updates Link on my site).
However, it does make sense that the further the distance, the more perspective you see, and the less you force your peripheral vision to kick in.
Cryosin' I'd tried PMing you (and more) but gave up - God knows I realize what you're up against. I've never done texting, sorry.

Hey guys sorry for my long break. Well, its getting out of control now. Im thinking of just dropping the use of computers all together. There's something beyond grasping here.
First:
My eyes hurt when i stare at a computer monitor. No matter how close or how far.
Second:
The closer i get to a source the worse my symptoms get. i get anything from a headache, to coughing, dizziness, irritation, a throbbing upward motion in my head. I really have no idea what it is. Its almost as if my eyes are being pulled to the top of my head.
Third:
When i walk into work i feel like i'm being microwaved. There is constant pain across my face and body. I feel jittery and weird. Im always irritated and itchy. Sometimes some of my bones will just pop. Like one time i was walking and my right leg jolted upward and it was numb for the rest of the day. Ive never felt anything like that before.
I really don't know what it is, im kinda skewing towards some kind of governmental expirementation of some sort but i really dont know any more. Maybe its just our lack of care for each other, money is more important. Maybe for the pharmaceutical industry. All i know is everything around me is bothering me.

Cryosin, first of all please see my PM. I feel bad for you. You should really take a detox break and go to Glen Ivy Spa
(their mineral baths FOLLOWED BY their mud therapy) under sunlight otherwise the drawing-pulling-effect might not work
BUT if you get reactions such as feeling microwaved the way you feel when entering BestBuy - maybe it's risky, so I'm not sure what to say...
Given that your case is extreme due to the heavy exposure to EMFs at BestBuy, you might try contacting Dr. Rhea at the Environmental Center of Texas. He's mentioned by electrosensitives, such as in the Black On White PDF, and Invisible Disease by Nordstrom.

Trust me, you're not the only one - I've read many horror stories like yours.
All the above may be outside your budget, though.
There's some more therapies I'm considering:
TDP mineral lamps
NCD natural cellular defense
If it's any consolation, hey, soon everyone may be in the same boat - END TIMES!
Just get a load of those unbelievable crop circles (they mention 2012 global shift).
