Re: 2009M HP monitor test
Now I feel really lightheaded my whole body feels light probally having minature sezuires from this thing.
Eye strain doensn't seem bad I have the backlight brightness turnned down to zero and have contrast pretty low too plus my nvidia 6600 grahics cards settings are turnned down.
----------------
Well if this thing works out I'll be the first to buy another one of these things =) since it looks so damn nice and it was dirt cheep too.
This is a 20" widescreen btw not that that matters though with the brightness turnned down it looks good not too white.
waits for heart attack =)

two hours into this my eyes don't hurt as much but man doesn't seem to focus that good on the screen.
I read somewhere your suppose to give yourself two weeks to get used to the thing.
I'll give it a week.

Re: 2009M HP monitor test
Beats me, how so many people can view humongous monitors such as the 2009M HP (and others like it) for so many years without getting zapped?
It may be cuz I've been chronically ill with fibromyalgia & mercury poisoning (and other toxins) in the first place, and that LCDs were the final straw.
Or else, maybe most "humans" are aliens in the guise of humans, and don't get zapped by what the minority of us mere mortals can't tolerate??
Did you by any chance read Cryosin's latest postings re: Qlink? I'm still curious whether Qlink prevents his eyes from hurting - I haven't yet found out.

Re: 2009M HP monitor test
Ok this thing is useable but with my job at Walmart I can't use it because I get a double dose of Floursant lights.
So I get eyestrain from work but not the monitor.
I didn't use it all day yesterday and my eyes still hurt at work.
I was in a pretty pissy mood today =)
So I'm considering contact lenses which might curb the eyestrain to make the monitor more useable.
I might go in for some contacts tomorrow and experiment around. But I really hate paying 100.00 for 6 months worth of lenses I'll see what the price is for them online to see if it's worth while.
Walmart and the job I do just makes my eyes hurt though. So I probally going have to switch back to the Trinitron CRT just to make my job bearable.

Re: 2009M HP monitor test
I see ACUVUE lenses are pretty cheep use them for two weeks for one set and they cost 14.00 for 6 sets of lenses.
I haven't uses contacts in about 9 years I really didn't like the idea of buying them for my eyes since glasses worked just as good but for this HP TN PANEL LCD my glasses bother me at work.
But my eyes just bother me at work due to the ammout of reading I have to do on my job.
I read alot of department numbers on boxes.
MonitorMP do you wear glasses by chance?
I read something that a astigmatism effects how you focus and you eyes try to adjust to the monitor where it causes eyestrain.
This 20" monitor isn't sooo big considering some (non green) morons use 30" monitors =)
the only reason you would need a monitor that big is to burn some serious money.

Re: 2009M HP monitor test
This whole friggin thing could be avoided
if Retail outlets used better lighting in their stores and didn't makes us use those new POsion LED LCD terminals man those are going to give me a headache unless I switch jobs.
Looking to get a outside job which means a down payscale cart pushing job.
