Hey I got Windows 7 =)
I was worried about eyestrain with this OS but it's the same as XP. It decent with the right monitor motherboard and graphics card anyway. I might even try a different graphics card one with more It's a different architecture or build then XP some things are still a pain like setting up email isn't any easier to setup.
Firefox works like ass on it...scrolling problems so that you will use IE is suppose and use BING Microshafts version of google.
I have no idea how much a differece how a LCD monitor would be on here but I suspect it would be teh same.
Windows 7 isn't released untill OCT. btw

Hey, maybe you should take over this site, since you're much more up to date on the latest versions of tech. 
I guess I'll keep repeating myself - that I'm really behind the times - everything moving too speedily for me to keep up.
I still have dialup due to affordability (which accounts for my overexposure due to slowness)
I still use a small 15" LG Flatron LCD, since that's what I've found most tolerable.
Due to slow speed, I really don't do anything sophisticated such as games, video viewing, etc. I have too much other stuff going on in my life for me to bother much online anymore.

The windows built in themes are really customizable....
You can adjust the transparencey of em or the color I had black on but it seems to hurt my eyes made them stiff so I went to a purple theme and it's working out better.
System requirements for Windows 7 is only a one GHz processor and I'm not sure of Ram it might be 512 or 1 gig even.
