harness
I see alot of pictures of pups with a harness, I have never used one, I usually use a collar and then a choke chain for training or walking. interseted in hearing why people use a harness

I personally dont think a harness is a great idea for everyday purposes. A 100lb hunk of muscle in a harness is a disaster waiting to happen, plus you have less control (not just power wise). I think a collar is a much better way to go.

Yes I agree a collar is best for a puppy. Harnesses give the dog way to much power and control at an age they are learning to be under command.

People use harnesses for activities that would otherwise be tough on the dog's neck and trachea, such as weight pull, carting, or personal protection (agitation).
I agree that a harness is probably not the way to go for a walk in the park.
