abandoned 6 mo. old CC in philly
hey guys, im new to the forum. i've been sent to elana from jackie in the uk. i've been emailing elana info about this pup, but ill post some here as well.
she was kicked out of a car in a huge parking lot and then the guy took off. lucky me, my girlfriend witnessed the whole thing. she called me and got me involved. i went after work at night and tried along with some nice policemen to get this poor pup out from under the cars and mud, but to no avail. i almost had her when the police left but i just couldnt grab her. i went back the next morning but she had regained all her energy and was having nothing to do with me. after work i went back to try again, arming myself with the crap they call, alpo. hey who knew..i guess it is good for something. after hours of laying in the mud i was finally able to coax her over to me and she actually let me put the collar on her.
well where else to go but to my house and right into the bath tub. she was super shy and nervous but began to play like a normal puppy with us. my pitbull, rod, was in his crate and it was his excitement that brought her out of her shell. after a long while i let the 2 meet and they get along really well. my boy is a sweet boy and teaching her how to be a puppy again, giving her confidence and trust back.
she's getting better and better by the hour. and of course giving my boy some bad habbits as well. teaching him how fun it is to bark for no reason out the window and how there is some good stuff in the trash can. i guess it has to go both ways.
shes got a clean bill of health from the vet and got her rabies shot and dewormer as well as her dhlpp anual shot. she isnt fixed yet. the vet and i agreed that she cant be more than 6 months old. she weighs in at 42lbs. and is very skinny, so she should probably be just a bit over 50lbs right now. shes really tall or maybe im just used to my short sausage boy rod. all i know is she can reach the kitchen counter which is a bad thing for a 6mo old pup.lol
here are some pics of her and my boy.
