Re: wet, wet, wet . . .
Cows still out by day, but come in early. Probably house full time next week. Maize in today.

Cows still out by day, still mountains of grass about. Brought them in at night after very heavy rain a week ago. It seems to take a good proportion of silage in the diet to keep the dung from being pure liquid anyway.

Re: wet, wet, wet . . .
Also plenty of grass. Plenty of rain in the last week is starting to reducing its availability. Cows been in for ages. They wouldn't eat the grass. Drys in, calves under 8months and those being AIed. All other youngstock still out. Got a TB test in ten days so all will come in then regardless.
Awful summer, great back end.
