What do you use to kill pesky ringworm
I went to a show and tied head to head with an animal with ringworm! After confronting them they said not to worry it was dead.... Same old story, well two weeks at home and my heifer has it.
WHat works well to get rid of it quick?
Any home-made tricks?

Re: What do you use to kill pesky ringworm
Agree with the waste oil.
Not convinced by hanging up holly though. Sounds more like superstition.
Interested by the copper idea. Works as a fungal treatment on plants. Less intrigued by the iodine though, as its usually associated with killing bacteria.
The other theory one of our vets goes on is that you will cure it in about eight weeks with treatment, whereas if you leave it be, it will take about two months to go away.
I thought I'd try his theory out last summer, so I isolated a small batch and let it run to see if they would self cure. They didn't and I still ended up intervening.
The only answer we have found for angleberrys is to break a bit off and get a vaccine made. Works a treat but I think they have stopped doing it now for some reason.

What do you use to kill pesky ringworm
I used to work for a company in the UK that marketed seaweed meal under the brand name "SeaQuim elite" ...yes I giggled too, but despite the silly name it actually did a very good job at clearing up ringworm in youngstock; fed at a rate of 100- 150 g per day mixed in with feed or on its own.
Seaweed products have had a very poor press as they've invariably been poorly marketed, often by small companies that haven't been prepared to subject the products to the rigorous level of scrutiny that the more discerning producer would expect. As such the considerable benefits of an effective and 100% natural product have been largely overlooked or dismissed as muck & magic .
I have no commercial interest in this or any other seaweed product but would happily recommend it, particularly if you've tried and failed with other options.
