Has anyone any idea what is going on here?
 I have now had three dairy heifer calves born with part of their rear hind leg muscle missing!
They are so bad that they can`t walk properly but luckily and thats all it is they have successfully caught up at about three months of age and you now can`t tell there was ever a problem...never had this before...

No... first two were by a Goldwyn young bull got concerned then had another sired by a Rudolph young bull

Perhaps something to do with a lack of selenium?? i have heard of this sort of thing happening but wouldnt be able to advise, sure ur vet could be alot more use ...
