I understand there will be cattle from the UK there this year for the first time.
Does anyone know who is going and what is likely to do well?

I heard Mark Knutsford and Andy Cope were planning to take Stormatic Beauty, Outside Hazel and Gelpro Melody. Last I heard the government were not guaranteeing that the cows would be allowed back into the UK! That thought put off another couple of people that were thinking about it.

Why they shouldn't be allowed to come back? North Italy is BT free, this is not the same for Lands they will have to go thru to get up to here. Force the management we need the BT restrictions to be lifted...

Unless a disease causes more damages than the restrictions Built to fight against it, there is nothing to worry about. How is the BT in North Europe currently?

There are 3 breeders from the UK taking cattle over, providing they get the test results back in time, Good luck to them, it's a shame Italy are playing England in the 6 Nations, flights are expensive.

Good luck to the UK breeders coming here...wish you all the best.

Anyway just realized that all UK young breeders will be female. Why do I have to be "taken" when this things happens?

Only cows? Ages?
Do you need any help there?, I guess semenzoo is helping our UK friends...There will also be a group of 5 young UK breeders arriving on Monday, staying at farms till wednsday and going back on sunday. If we knew it before, we could have managed to organize something better.

Next Autumn we will have the first European Showmanship in Cremona during European Championship with 2 members for each country.

One in-calf heifer, two milking heifers (one junior, one senior), a second calver and two fourth calvers as it stands. Test results should be through by Friday and they leave Saturday so a bit tight but full steam ahead right now!

Melody is going, Hazel, Leader Dilys and Outside Melissa from Mark, a milking Shottle and a Mr Paradise in-calf heifer from Shanael.

Should be a great trip if anyone does manage to get out there. After last year's last minute cancellation of the trip to Paris, there hasn't been much in the way of advertising this time.

There are still test results to come through (and we are not banking on the reliability of those) but Mark's team will probably be finalised on Friday. They are all entered.

If they can't come back, they aren't going. It isn't simple but looks doable.

And you are seriously jeopardising that glass of wine!!!

Really really sorry to say, the cows have been pulled from Verona. An positive IBR test has comw through and you cannot retest after a positive for 30 days. Because of the expense, hassle and time involved, as a key player cannot now go, the others have reluctantly taken the decision to pull out.

Gutted.
