Re: N.I Holstein Celebration Show & Sale

Unfortunately it looks like I won't be able to attend the Celebration on the 27th, might make the sale on Wed evening though. Does anyone know if a ticket is required for entry to the sale only?

Also, what progeny groups are the different companies putting on ?

I am displaying young stock by Carisma and Wedgwood Laramie, and I hear Alta are doing 6 Baxters. Any word from the rest ?

N.I Holstein Celebration Show & Sale

I heard Genus are putting on milking daughters of Drake, Bolton, Shottle and possibly Burt. Ai services are putting on daughters of Leif and Mascol (as far as I know)Anyone know what semex are putting on?
With regard to the Semex elite sale I feel that the 1st choice Goldwyn X Ambrosia will be the sale topper! But Conncorr Gold Dellia, Glasson Gold Ghost and Ards Baxter Sara look really good on paper!

Re: N.I Holstein Celebration Show & Sale

Thanks Ballyginniff! Alan A got me sorted with a ticket, THANKS Alan A!! Willie Wilson was gonna get me a ticket too, so I could have stood outside the doors offering tickets for sale at half price!!!

Should be a good sale, the catalogue looks great, it's just a pity the milk price is so poor!

Are any of our friends from the South of Ireland or across the puddle (Scotland/England or Wales) planning to attend? What about further afield? We'll have to form a 'cowtalk corner'!!

What reason is there to charge people to attend a sale. . . .I think that is a poor do. . .with the economy like it is I'd be offering free coaches to get people to the sale not standing on a door and taking money from them for supporting it!

When people make the effort to attend it just seems morally wrong. . . .and to think I was going to book my flights tonight. . . emoticon

N.I Holstein Celebration Show & Sale

Sale averaged £3989, top price of £20,000 went to Ian McLean for the 1st choice Goldwyns from Ambrosia. Stock went all over the UK and Southern Ireland, it has to be the best sale ever held in Northern Ireland, well done to all those who organised it!
