Re: Lawn Boy P Red
Welsh black or buffalo ? I think I'll leave you to suggest that to Pierre Boulet or whoever buys the heifer for $20,000+ !!! I thought the suggestion of Oman would be enough of a shock on its own... mind you if you read the opinions in half the posts on Oman you might expect the Welsh black cross to have better conformation....
... of course if you crossed your Goldwyn Rose onto a complete outcross Holstein (if you could find it) you might produce something exceptional ... as with the inbred Tidy burke Elevation producing RORA Elevation...

Re: Lawn Boy P Red
got me thinkin again eryl vet. Not a big oman fan ill admit but would maybe be kinda neat to take an oman son from rose herself. Omans health traits etc combined with the greatest mammary system between or on top of two legs and all that size and dairyness could be pretty neat

Yes... but you're just as likely to end up with Oman's type and Rose's health traits

Genomics may go some way to selecting the right bull from the mating and increase the chance of the gamble working out right.
