posticon Flushing. Couple of ?'s, rBST and FSH?

I'm getting ready to flush a cow that has been flushed once before and she didn't respond to the FSH well. I have heard that rBST given a certain number of days before the flush will result in better eggs does anybody know anything about this? Also, can you people give me some suggestions on the FSH procedure? She got 2.5 cc's twice a day for four days before. I have heard some people give FSH differently. What do you guys do? I REALLY want this flush to work out this time. THANKS!

Re: Flushing. Couple of ?'s, rBST and FSH?

We put our flush cows on BST because they will make more eggs, I'm not sure if it increases the quality of eggs. One other thing that helps is chelated minerals get her and the recips on these as soon as possible. Our standard FSH goes like this. Day 1 4cc FSH morning and night, Day 2 3cc morning and night, Day 3 2cc morning and night, Day four 1cc. We start there and adjust depending on how the cows respond. I hope this helps.

you can also give Corionic at the last breeding this will help release all the eggs. The decreasing FSH dose seems to do a better job. There are other forms of Hormones also if the FSH is not working.
