Re: A2 Milk gene

There are a few breeders here as some factories will pay a premium for the product. I keep a spreadsheet of who is who when it comes to the a2 gene.

We test all proven and the most likely young sires for a2 as there are clients who request these bulls.

A2 Milk gene

a much higher percentage of Guernseys have the A2XA2 milk over 90% i think. They have been doing lots of studies into it and researching the effects of drinking the A2XA2 status milk in the benifit of it for children with Autism with really good results. Channel 5 News in the uk ran a programe about it and as a result people with chidren with Autism are crying out to pure Guernsey milk producers for their product, unfortunatly there is no such product in the supermarket as chennel island milk contains jersey milk as well, our young sires scheme is taking the bulls A2XA2 status in to consideration when selecting the bulls with most being A2XA2 to try and achieve a whole national herd A2XA2 status
