Ask a minister

Our Balmoral Show is on next week for three days. Usually the politicians appear out for a photo opportunity, and a chance to be told how great they are.

My question is 'If you could ask your minister of agriculture any question, what would it be?'

Our Minister seems pretty upfront and open, so if I get a chance I have a question or two I would like to raise, but am always open to suggestions.

Ask him for the justification for using a tabular valuation system for pedigree cattle, which by their very nature have a wide range of values. emoticon

cho waht Charryman says but even more distorted is that the welsh stll get true valuation and we get some made up figures.

In NI we still get full valuation so that is one that Alan wouldn't need to ask!

What about... What measure's is she taking to make agriculture sustainable with the rising costs of fuel, feed and fertiliser along with the expected fall in milk prices!

I like to put them on the spot when I get a chance.

Once asked a local MLA about their party position on the future of local education to be told 'I don't know, but I'll get back to you.'

He then sent me a leaflet published 10 years earlier.

Part of the problem is that they rely on us all to vote along tribal lines, so they don't need to actually do anything.

As my son informed me the other day 'It doesn't matter who you vote for, the government always gets in.'

She actually called in on Friday whilst going around with her husband and kids, 'off duty' so to speak.

I didn't really think it was the right circumstance to get stuck in.

So I will keep my powder dry for a future occasion.

Ian Paisley Junior was walking about too, seemed to be getting some fairly rough comments.
