Re: clipper advice please

The clippers I use for body, and topline are Aesculap, very solid clipper. But not a clipper for the udder. I bought an inexpensive WAHL clipper for the udder, works well for what it is. Oster's I hear are good. You will get what you pay for, so dont spend little, get something that has a good selection of blades. That Wahl stable pro I have doesn't have much of a selection, but it has done well on the udders.

Re: clipper advice please

i use the oster a5's they're the most popular, but they can be buggers for overheating if you have a lot to do.
the andis agc clippers are becoming popular (cheaper too!) these in my opinion are the best on the market. oster and andis blades are compatible on both machines. theese are both mains clippers, so they're difficult for using on tops. if u want a set to do tops with, i use the oster trimmer but are no longer available, look at top cut clipper for top lines.

I have a pair of Andis AGC clippers, not only are they good for udders, but also ears and legs. They are so quiet, and they don't vibrate much. Also cost effective. I use them for toplines, but they are not as nice as the small cordless sets.

Re: clipper advice please

I use a wahl 2 speed clipper with different plate i use 15 for the head and legs 50 for the udder and i also use a moser cordless clippers for finishing touch on the legs. The adjusting blades are not sharp enough to clip the udder. for the toplines I use a oster clipper.

Re: clipper advice please

For udders and ears I recommend the Andis AGC 2 speeds with either a set of 40's or 50's depending on the cow and you skill level. For tops a tight set of 84's with a 23 top is best for cutting them out then use topline clippers like the old red oster model or panasonic for fine tuning.
