Re: How did you find COWTALK?

That's interesting I didn't see that.

Cowtalk started on a much simpler platform in September 2001.We then moved to Runboard in 2003.

Dan Brady's site was very show orientated and every other thread was "how big should my show calf be " I thought there was scope for a site that was open to a broader range of subjects. That site was ruined in the end by certain individuals and it in-stiled into me the importance of strong moderating.I saw Dan's name mentioned recently as he has been promoted within Semex.

A little bit of history..http://www.amazingforums.com/forum/COWTALK/forum.html

There was only one page so once a topic was at the bottom it fell off never to be seen again!

Re: How did you find COWTALK?

That was a blast from the past Mark, I'd entirely forgotten how the original COWTALK looked!!

I stumbled on the site when researching a breeding problem we had, got hooked!

I used to look at another forum on milkproduction.com, it seems to have disappeared since, as for the United forum FOAF mentioned, I think it was only ever the two of us posting on there!!

Cowtalk has outlived them all!! Well done great leader!! emoticon

Re: How did you find COWTALK?

When I first found cowtalk it had less than 10 members and I wasn't compelled to join.
I think it wasn't until after the Holstein world forum was closed, that I re-discovered cowtalk and by then it had progressed into a very appealing forum and I've been here ever since.
