The other day my son asked me what we were talking about on Cowtalk and I said inbreeding, so he ran off to tell my wife that I was reading all about incest on the internet...

Re: …

on a beautiful summers day 2-3 years ago, in a atempt to make the kids turn the nintendo off and go out-side and play I said.
-I would've loved the opportunity to go out-side and play when I was a kid.
-well why didn't you, dad?
-No, we kids where not allowed to go out-side because of the risk of being eaten by dinosaures.
-wow daddy, it must have been scary!

when I saw their faces of total belief I suddenly felt very old emoticon

Re: The things kids say

Going through the bedtime nursery rhymes with the 'monkey' (2 1/2) "I see the moon, the moon sees me, God made the moon and God made..... COWS"!!!
At least he's got the creation concept if not the poetry one!!

As for 'Granda's Cows' they're not Holstein, they're "Femian's" (Fresians) which in our wee country sounds frighteningly like a scectarian remark, when shouted at full volume in the supermarket!!

…things kids say

I said this when I was a very small boy nearly 70 years ago. And I often think of it.

Mother was driving to town one day when she noticed a new statue in a small streetside park. "There is a new statue there" Mom said.

Having no idea what she was talking about, I piped up and asked, "WHAT IS A STATCHME?"

She nearly ran off the street laughing so hard at my reply.

Bummy74, my wife can't believe a woman would be driving 70 years ago, I told her it was a horse and buggy.

Re: …

The four year old rugrat picked his nose and started a torrential downpour of blood, honeybunch ran away afraid of the blood. I pinched off his nose over the sink, all the while him howling and her researching on the internet, how to keep your child from bleeding out. p.s. she got her Dr. Spock out too. I keep telling her not to let the kids see her bad habits, that someday they will come back to haunt her.

Which bad habits? Picking her nose, Dr Spock or researching on the internet?

Re: The things kids say

I made the mistake of letting her read my post, which promptly resulted in a slap to the back of the head, I live in an abusive relationship I think. emoticon
