the things kids do
last night while I was feeding the calves in the dark - have a calf paddock divided in 2 with a big 6 bay shed, with foodlights where I draft off my groups for feeding,in the smaller paddock.
I had put grain into a trough in the back pen for the big ones when the 3yo decided he could put the bright yellow 20l bucket over his head - al that stuck out was a set of hands and legs.He then proceeded to stagger (not being able to see)around the smaller paddock chanting/bellowing Im a robot boom boom.this came out sounding like an echo.the older calves were like "what next"
And the younger ones forgot about their bellies and and fell over themselves trying to avoid this weaving apparition.
despite the inconvenience it was quite funny - I try not to laugh because it only encourages it

Re: the things kids do
I can just picture it. My oldest is sneaking up on 3yo, he's with me daily at the farm, it seems like I get nothing done, but I would't have it any other way.

my sons kindergarden recently recieved funding to each paint a linen canvas which was then to be displayed in the regional artgalery for a month.they then got more funding to hire a bus, visit the gallery to view their paintings, attend a hands on workshop with an artist, picnic in the park, visit the giggle palace,an indoor playground. There are 3,3 yos boys who all just turned 4 a week or so apart.my son is the youngest of them.apparently the boys had to be "lads" and sit on the backseat of the bus.(seems to be a genetic thing - boys up the back of the bus I just didnt realise how young this gene kicks in).
what amused me greatly was that when they got bac k I was told the "boys" sat up the back of the bus and all fell asleep on the way home.I wished I had got a picture of that!
so we have had a 4yo party every week for the last 3 weeks and my husband commented heaven help us when they all turn 21- theyll be no good for anything for 3 weeks
