Re: OHHHHHHHHHH YESSSSSSSSSSS

Does it matter that it was their reserve team
?

Looks like Spurs may have a new center half by next week.It will be interesting to see if Woodgate can stay fit.Mind you if even half the rumours we hear about him up here are true then it's not necceserally injuries that will be the problem.

OHHHHHHHHHH YESSSSSSSSSSS

Mark, it doesn't matter!!!! Though I do remember Keane making Gallas look ordinary, Fabregas playing 75 minutes, Hleb playing, Gilberto being a world cup winner and all that, Walcott a full england international etc. etc
We didn't have a full team either but no matter I'll just enjoy it while it lasts.
AndrewR I think King Kev has given up on Woody.
Mark, what rumours??

Re: OHHHHHHHHHH YESSSSSSSSSSS

Your right, hes not going to the Toon, they reckon he will go to Spurs (although there is another team come in this morning), with him and Ledley King, I guess they are hoping to get one fit centre half at a time! I see Spurs are still going for Downing too.

Re: OHHHHHHHHHH YESSSSSSSSSSS

Woodgate has never been very wise when it comes to choosing his friends.Last month there was a court case invoving a youth team player. His house was raided and drugs were found. The lad's mother took the blame and he got off.It was disclosed in court that Woodgate had given the lad money at some point.I don't know if Will's story is true and I've never seen it said in so many words.
Considering Woodgate's form this season and his injury record it would seem a good deal to move him on.He has become 3rd if not 4th choice at Boro and apparently was refusing to sit on the bench. With weekly earnings of £70,000 he has become a luxury Boro can do without, especially with his off field problems and attitude.
I reckon Downing will be the next to go.His greedy agent is doing everything he can to unsettle him and he has an inflated opinion of his ability and worth.

If Chelsea book a Champions league spot, does a Carling cup final place gaurantee Spurs a UEFA cup spot for next season?

Re: OHHHHHHHHHH YESSSSSSSSSSS

the "Rumbelows" cup doesnt get you into uefa as I recall, but gets you into intertoto, through which you can qualify (Villa 1999) Although Im quite rusty on that!

Re: OHHHHHHHHHH YESSSSSSSSSSS

You dont know what my wife is like if they lose! (Villa beat Chelsea on the first day of our marriage, what a time to do that!!), plus, if they win, more chance of Villa qualifying for europe. I dont think Ramos really needs my support though, he is doing a great job, and putting some grit into Spurs. (Although my verdict is out on Woodgate, up until Boro, he was injured way too much)

Time will tell with Woody i suppose, but if they could at least get him and Knig fit for alternate games it'll give us more than half a chance!
