PRAYERS PLEASE
Hanna Shepherd, from Markethill, Co. Armagh, has been diagnosed with cancer.
Hanna is just 13 or 14 and was being treated for a suspected collapsed lung. During a scan to asess the condition of the lung a shadow was detected. A biopsy was taken and, initially, things were quite hopeful, it was thought to be benign.
Unfortunately however it wasn't. Hanna has a tumor on her lung about 4" across. Surgeons cannot operate because of its proximity to a major artery. They plan to attack the tumor with cheamo in an attempt to reduce its size, thus enabling an operation to hopefully take place.
Please pray that the treatment will be successful, that Hanna will be given the strength (physically and spiritually) to withstand this horrible treatment and that her family will be given strength too as they rally round to give much needed love and comfort.
I will try my best to keep you all updated with her progress.

As long as they're spending time in prayer and quiet contemplation, I don't mind Broa.
The family say they are feeling a real buzz at the moment, and are in no doubt that this is as a result of prayer.
Hanna was at Bible class on Sunday, her two younger brothers were at Sunday school, I teach the youngest, William (8).
The entire family were at church on Sunday, it was encouraging to see them being so strong, no doubt with the help and support of the Lord.

Good to hear of the weekend news Will.Being brought before God in prayer is a very up lifting thing and being able to minister to the family in this way and also in direct contact as you are builds your own faith and trust in God.

Just found this. Don't check not cowtalk very often.
She has my prayers. Such a thing for a child to cope with.
It is comforting to know that God knows her suffering. His outcome for this may or may not be what we desire, but we can be assured that, through His presence and touch, much good can come from such anguish.
Surrounded by prayerful support, this girl will develop a character second to none through this experience. God Bless.
